Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully prior to using the Smart Calories mobile application.

Medical Disclaimer: Smart Calories is an educational nutrition and wellness tracker, not a medical organization or medical diagnostic tool. All daily calorie targets, macro splits, and AI-assisted portion estimates are calculations intended for general self-tracking. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional or physician before starting any restrictive caloric or diet program.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or interacting with Smart Calories, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the application.

2. In-App Subscriptions & Billing (Google Play)

Smart Calories offers optional Premium subscriptions providing expanded AI vision scans and detailed analytics:

Billing Processing: All in-app subscriptions and transactions are handled exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing.
Automatic Renewal: Paid plans renew automatically unless auto-renew is disabled in your Google Play settings at least 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the current subscription cycle.
Managing Subscriptions: You can pause, adjust, or cancel your active subscription directly within the Google Play Store application under Payments & Subscriptions.
Refunds: All refund assessments are governed under Google Play Refund Guidelines.

3. AI Recognition & Data Estimations

Nutritional insights generated via camera scanning utilize generative AI models (Google Gemini). While continuously calibrated for maximum precision, estimates may vary based on plate framing, lighting, angles, and prepared sauces. You retain final responsibility for reviewing and confirming recorded meal metrics.

4. Acceptable Conduct

Users agree not to attempt security penetration, bypass subscription validation mechanisms, automate abusive queries against our Cloud Functions, or upload inappropriate, harmful, or non-food imagery through the scanner.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke access to backend cloud features for any accounts found deliberately abusing system rate limits or violating security parameters.
